(Coffee Shop) – Great place to read the paper on Sunday morning. Yummy gelato, terrible pastries. No wifi :-(

Occupying a former sewing supplies shop, The Orange Thimble is gorgeous: whitewashed walls, teak floorboards and repro mid-century furniture, along with sofas perfect for sprawling on.

Quieter than Tiong Bahru Bakery with just as great food and if you prefer not to have children and babies around.
