There are many walking/hiking trails. A nature center and the "arb loop" is one of the city's most well know running/biking loop. It is exactly a 10k.

"The Arb" is one of my favorite running places with well-marked paths and a great way to connect to the ground and disconnect from the every day.

A nice longer run out our front door toward the zoo. Go around the back side following the marsh and enter the Arboretum to have a peaceful route.

Natural area great for walking, bird-watching, or looking at their native and ornamental plant gardens. Road that runs through it is good for biking and jogging.

Widely recognized as the site of historic research in ecological restoration, the Arboretum includes the oldest and most varied collection of restored ecological communities in the world. Among the tallgrass prairies, savannas, wetlands and several forest types, the Arboretum also houses flowering trees, shrubs and a world-famous lilac collection.
