One of the most beautiful beaches ! Try to go at low or minus tide . There’s a 20-30 foot rock to hike down at the bottom of the trail . But it’s not that scary ! Definitely doable ! Low tide will reveal an unbelievable amount of star fish , urchins , and sea anemones
One of my favorite little coves to visit at mile post 345.3 north of Brookings. There is a very small parking area that is not marked at all on the west side of the road with room for just a few cars. I have recommended this to many guests and every one who stops there seems to love it. There is a very short but steep trail down to the beach which might be tricky if it is wet, but you will be greatly rewarded. If you can plan to do this around low tide you can go south of the beach less than 1/4 mile and you will come to a huge arch you can walk under. It is a magical place!

This is a road side stop along the scenic corridor with a short but steep hike (with rock scramble) down to the beach. Be sure to watch the tides and never turn your back to the ocean!
It's no longer a "Secret" but if you want to enjoy it to the fullest...go during the week, off tourist season, and at negative tide. You will be awed by the natural beauty and hidden treasures abound if you look hard enough! A challenge for the little ones and elderly to get down to the sand.
