A quirky yet slick gallery situated in a beautiful old terrace house near the National Art School. They represent an impressive stable of artists, plus they have a great sense for aesthetics, with minimalism guiding the hanging style. Regardless of the work—whether it’s abstract oil landscapes or a mixed-media group show—I’m never disappointed by what I see. The gallery is walking distance from Govinda’s, a Sydney institution where—after an Indian vegetarian feast—you watch art-house movies on lounges. You can then finish the night by visiting Messina, Sydney’s most famous gelato shop. Just saying.
