Beautiful old growth forest along the beach on Sitka Sound with Russian and Tlingit history, many majestic totem poles, Indian River, salmon stream, walking paths and interpretive center.
Totem Park has lots Sitka history to show. Stroll through the park, take in nature and see all the remarkable totem polls. The visitors center has forest service works that can share the history and tell you the stories of totem park.

This is better known as “Totem Park.” Here, you will see beautiful, locally carved totem poles throughout your stroll around the park. In September, you will enjoy watching the Pink salmon (otherwise known as “humpies” making their way up Indian River to spawn. This is a very enjoyable walk in the park.
