This underground Tribeca bathhouse is in the depths of the earth. The bath area is cavernous and large, with super-high ceilings and a steampunk feel. There’s a whirlpool, a super-hot pool, a temperate pool that takes you through tunnels, two cold pools—and a floatarium with so much salt it feels like an antigravity pool. If you’re planning to take a dip in the floatarium pool, do not shave your legs the day before! If you have an open cut anywhere on your body, stay away! Go in with open wounds and you’ll feel like you’re being repeatedly stung by a jellyfish.
