Pisgah Covered Bridge was originally built in 1911, for a sum of about 40 USD. It is one of only two remaining covered bridges in North Carolina. The bridge is within the Uwharrie National Forest, crossing 54 feet (16.5 meters) over the West Fork Branch of the Little River. It is historic, beautiful and a connection to the past when automobile travel was just beginning and horse and buggy were the most common form of travel. It is a beautiful place to walk and admire.

It's a beautiful, old wooden covered bridge that's close to the Adventure Lodge. Great for photography and is a wonderful historical landmark. The small creek running under it is filled with rocks and bolders and is great for climbing on. Rocks can be slippery, so have fun and enjoy the area.
