Alyosha is a symbol of our relation with Russia and moreover it expresses deep gratitude of Russian help during the leberation fights against Ottoman/Turkish occupation that lasted 5 centuries. In order to get there you need to walk 20 min on the hill of Bunardjik. If you enjoy working out, you can do it there and enjoy a very nice views on top. To reach the hill you need 1 min from my appartment.

One of the hills in Plovdiv, Aliosha offers a park around it and a stunning view of the whole city from the top, as well as a war monument. A great place for walks.

After climbing the stairs up to Alyosha (monument of the unknown Russian soldier) you can relax, catch your breath and enjoy an amazing view of the whole city center.
