Slightly farther out but the orchards and apple houses in Ellijay are always fun. You can make a huge day of it and visit Cartecay Vineyards (or Brewing Co) while out there and Amicalola and Burt’s on your way back.

Located in the heart of "Apple Country", R&A Orchards is both beautiful and bountiful. The family farm proudly offers tours and apple picking events each fall (typically September through October). Visitors can stock up on any of the ten apple varieties that are harvested throughout the fall, shop the market store for ready-made baked goods, or even order apples online for delivery straight to your door. R&A is also a scenic spot for a souvenir picture with apple trees and mountains as a backdrop.

Enjoy apple picking from Summer to Fall. The adventure starts with a tractor ride to the perfect spot for picking fresh apples. The store also has a variety of treats.

A wonderful apple orchard that offers plenty of other produce & goods as well. A delicious kitchen making stews & such as well! Their facebook page stays very active, check it for updates on what's in season!
