This is a sports bar with an irish twist. They have a neat gameroom and a full bar. I had the shepard’s pie which was technically an appetitizer but just enough to serve 1. The hamburger was also good.

The Roof Restaurant is located in downtown Elijay. The outdoor patio allows you to view the entire downtown area. They make a great hamburger.

I had tried their wines in the tasting room in downtown Elijay and liked them. We went to the winery which had a large deck and beautiful view. It was cold the day we went so we sat in a cozy loft area. They also had exceptional music.

Northeast of Dawsonville, Georgia, on the cusp of the North Georgia Mountains, sits Amicalola Falls State Park. A nature lover’s wonderland, it’s only 8 miles from the Appalachian Trail and within the Chattahoochee National Forest. The park is named after its most treasured feature, Amicalola Falls – a magnificent 729-foot waterfall that’s the third-highest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River. You have to go up a lot of steps to get to the top but the view is worth it. (There are a couple pictures in the cabin taken at the falls).
