Just six kilometers from the city of Corfu, is one of the most beautiful Marinas in the Mediterranean and without a doubt the most beautiful in Greece. It is none other than Marina Gouvion which is seven kilometers from Corfu airport to the northeast of the island. Gouvia Marina: The Monte Carlo of Corfu Gouvia Marina is the first private marina in the country, under the management of the Turkish group Dogus, a giant of the neighboring country and operates all year round on a 24-hour basis. It is fully equipped and can accommodate a total of 1235 boats, which can moor at floating and fixed piers with facilities In the very old years and for many decades, the sailors found the port in Gouvia ideal to moor their boats and spend a few days of rest, enjoying the sea and the beauties of the island, thus connecting the Adriatic with the Mediterranean. In the 17th century, the Venetians chose Gouvia to create a shipping station and shipyards, whose facilities are still preserved, known as the Venetian Shipyards. Today in the Venetian Shipyards are organized cultural events and are monuments of cultural heritage of the island.
