By far my favorite place to get brisket. Being a Texas girl, I suffered for 5 years, from a lack of honest to goodness real pit smoked BBQ. I actually cried when I went to a place not too far from here (I shall not name names) and I got a plate of boiled meat put in front of me. Yes, I really cried. I think it was our 17th wedding anniversary and we wanted BBQ. This was not it and we never went back. When the Pit Stop opened, I really did not want to have a boiled meat experience again. I was over the moon when I told her my story and she brought me out a sample. It was sooooo goooooood! Good tears this time! Since then a couple more BBQ places have opened up that have good BBQ, but Pit Stop has a special place in my heart. The Pit Stop is about a 30 minute drive to Hugo.
