The Victoria Park is a public park located in Nuwara Eliya, next to the Nuwara Eliya Post Office in Sri Lanka. Originally the park was the research field of Hakgala Botanical Garden.
The main park in Nuwara Eliya is called Victoria Park, in honor of Queen Victoria’s 60th Jubilee coronation in 1897. The park spreads out on 27 acres of land and is full of foreign trees and flowers.
A large number of rare bird species can be found in the park. The park is a great tourist attraction in Nuwara Eliya. It was estimated that around 4000 – 5000 foreign tourists visit the Victoria Park.
