Deer Ridge facilities include two outdoor ice rink surfaces for winter hockey and pleasure ice skating, two tennis courts, and four playgrounds. In addition to park areas there are also multiple soccer fields and a baseball diamond. From spring to fall the Deer Ridge Community Gardens are very popular. The eastern edge and upper south-side of the community features a designated area for off-leash dog walking.
