Lean on me, Bill Withers. My dad had a beer and chat with cillian Murphy in here when he was filming peaky blinders in the area. My dad’s old house is behind this pub, we have many happy memories there and a few sad ones too, teenage tantrums, sorry. Did you work hard in school? Did it pay off? Handbags and Gladrags Song by Stereophonics A sad moment for the church across the road today. A local well known family has lost both their children. Most recently their daughter aged 53 from a heart attack. My dad was crying when he was talking about her and he knows her dad well, he was at school with him. Standing room only in the church, upstairs was open too. There’s a queue waiting outside the pub for it to open. Some quiet reflection time needed this afternoon. I didn’t know her well, but I did recognise her and know her name.
