This is surely one of the most beautiful beaches in Scotland. It’s a huge Sandy beach offering up the most awe inspiring views towards Arran. Sometimes you can be lucky enough to get the place to yourself. Park your car at Kilbride Farm and walk down the path or better still cycle from the cottage along the coastal road. It’s a bit of a stroll from the road down to the beach but a beautiful walk and you will be more than rewarded by the view. There is also a wonderful cafe at the road end serving the most scrumptious home made cakes and the best scones you’ll ever taste! You’ll be glad of the walk down to the beach to work off those calories!

1 hour 10 minutes. A day at the beach? Probably the best beach in the whole of Cowal this is a hidden gem. The trek to Ostel Bay is worth it. There is a walk from where you park down to the beach, so be aware if you are taking youngsters. Large sandy beach with view over to the Isle of Arran. Take anything you need - there are no facilities at the beach - and is all the better for it.
