Outlaws and Lawmen Museum ▫ In the original Teller County jail, the museum offers mugshots and newspaper articles that detail the town’s lawless history, as well as real jail cells from the early 20th century.
Historic County Jail used from 1901-1992. Offers ghost tours as well. Was featured on the Travel Channels Ghost Adventures.
Great museum! The first part is an employee giving you the background and a summary of what you’re going to see. Then you are free to roam the cell block, matrons quarters and women/children cell. There is some great prints of historic articles with accompanying art. It was a fun tour, most of the cells are open to walk into. My 5yr old had a blast as did we.
