Aritsugu is one of the best knife stores in Japan. You can get your name printed in Roman or Japanese letters on the knife. Great souvenir for people who love cooking. About 10000¥. It's in Nishiki Market, just west of Gokomachi Street.

Choose your knife – all-rounder, sushi, vegetable – and the staff will show you how to care for it before sharpening and boxing it up. You can also have your name engraved in English or Japanese. Knives start at around ¥10,000.
