INGLES: It is the most preserved and complete fortification in South America, and one of the best walls of the walled cities in the world. The Walls were built at the end of the 16th century to defend the city. It took 200 years, two centuries, for this majestic military structure to be completed. Its construction began on September 8, 1614, after the attack of the legendary Sir Francis Drake and by order of the King of Spain Philip III. It's possible to walk along large stretches of these magnificent structures, with wonderful sea and old city views, amazing sunsets and a cooling breeze from the sea. ESPAÑOL: Es la fortificación más conservada y completa de Sudamérica, y una de las mejores murallas de las ciudades amuralladas del mundo. Las Murallas fueron construidas a finales del siglo XVI para defender la ciudad. Fueron necesarios 200 años, dos siglos, para completar esta majestuosa estructura militar. Su construcción se inició el 8 de septiembre de 1614, tras el ataque del legendario Sir Francis Drake y por orden del rey de España Felipe III. Es posible caminar a lo largo de grandes extensiones de estas magníficas estructuras, con maravillosas vistas al mar y a la ciudad antigua, increíbles puestas de sol y una refrescante brisa del mar.
