A hidden gem - the oldest private library in Scotland - bishop Leighton’s collection dating back to the early 16th century has been immaculately preserved with original furniture in a beautiful room and contains originals of famous books including Walter Scott’s first edition of lady of the lake, original works in 15+ languages,etc.
