When you venture to the beach a pit-stop at the combined café/ice-cream shop Sorveteria da Barra, across the Avenida Atlantico from the Barra Vento, can be highly recommended. Please note that they call a cappuccino 'macchiato' and please have a scoop of ice-cream overlooking the ocean.
