I was introduced to Tommy when I first moved to town in 2011 and have been going there ever since. So much more than a barbershop, it's a museum of skateboard decks, rockabilly artworks, and tools of the barber trade, like Uppercut Deluxe pomade. A gem of a place to have a chat, get a short, classic-style cut, and a cut-throat shave. They stay open till 8 pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and if you're lucky, they'll offer you a complimentary frosty—can of beer—on arrival. While you’re in the area, I recommend visiting bars Redfern Continental and The Bearded Tit.
