Lots of activities during nighttime. Nice atmosphere for strolling around in the evening. Named after the Filipino hero José Rizal, who was one of the masterminds of the uprising against the Spanish colonial power. He was executed by the Spanish in 1896.

Rizal boulevard is considered as the soul of dumaguete city. It has a good panoramic ocean view that captures everyone's heart. From there you can sit and relax , walk and jog around that mostly people do. Near to it the dumaguete ferry port if you want to travel another islands through ferries. Along with the area theres different restaurants that offers good food for both locals and tourists. And during night time clubs starts to rock and moreover you can see local eatery which offers some pilipino delicacies one of it is well known as "Balot" or a developing chicken embryo that is being boiled and eaten from shell. Overall the place is very highly recommended to visit.

The boulevard’s stretch is immediately visible when coming into the Dumaguete port via any sea vessel. From the white lamp posts lining up the stretch to the stately trees swaying with the sea breeze, Rizal Boulevard holds a big part in the city’s provincial charm and has become a very popular landmark.

The boulevard is considered as one of the most captivating attractions in the city. Also a historical site because Dr. Jose Rizal, Philipppine National hero, wandered along this serene and beautiful shores before his exile to Dapitan. A great place for walking, hanging out or just catching the sea breeze . The place is steaming with locals and street vendors at night.
