This is a wonderful place to see a working boat harbor, meet up with the sea lions, kayak on Elkhorn slough or take a nature tour through the natural preserve there. Whale watching tours are available as well and, this close to the ocean you always have amazing sea food restaurants.

Beticia is an old fishing boat on A Dock in the harbor. The lovely cat lady on the boat is happy to show you the fresh catch, cut fillets to your preferred size, and give you tips on preparation. Beticia's not much to look at, and she's a little eccentric, but the fish is fantastic, and there's nothing like fresh grilled fish in the cockpit of the sailboat at sunset to round out a perfect day.

Nice place to kayak. Ideal kayak outing would be to start kayaking with last "rising" tide hour. Tide hours fluctuate.
