Salt Spring Island, that big land mass that you're staring at in front of the suite, has an amazing Saturday market, many boutiques, a Relais &style Chateaux hotel (Hastings House) for lunch or dinner. Take this ferry to get there. It's pretty easy and quick.

Head to the parking lot, which is also right next to a beautiful ocean front dog park, and take a lovely stroll along the boardwalk. Boardwalk is great for all ages and accessibilities.
