To be honest I use Upton Towans beach. You can park up and walk across the sand dunes (Towans) to the beach. Especially with dogs as this part of the beach is dog friendly. It’s part of the coast path and the access to the beach is down from to dunes so be prepared to climb back up.

Excellent beach, lifeguards(during season). Explore rock pools. Excellent surfing available. On Southwest Coastal Path.

Upton Towans are accessed from the Hayle to Portreath road (B3301).

A large expanse of wild beach and an iconic lighthouse. There is a National Trust Car Park on the front which also includes a cafe.
