This church is the oldest with circular plant in Rome. Beautiful frescoes by Pomarancio (late XVI century) depicting scenes of the martyrdom of saints. Some scenes can be a little dramatic so consider before going with children

This church is located on the Caelian Hill, not far from the Colosseum. Santo Stefano Rotondo church was the first in Rome to have a circular plan, inspired by the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.
