It was buil in 1703 to defend Paraty as a fort. \Notice the trenches, the cells, the leveled courtyard and the Gunpowder House. Located on the Morro do Forte hill, has an amazing view of Paraty Bay, perfect to go with the kids.
Located on the hill "Morro do Forte", this fort was built in 1703 to defend the city against possible invaders. It was named as "Defensor Perpétuo" in 1822, in horror to Dom Pedro I.
