If you're looking to go off the beaten path one of our favourite day trips is to Northport, about a 45-min drive north of Traverse City. Go early and get brunch at The Tribune - their breakfast and lunch menu is exceptional.

This Northport brunch restaurant has some of the most delicious breakfast food in the county. Their frittata and huevos rancheros are excellent.
