Protected marine reserve where manatees gather. There is a 50-ft. observation tower, trails, a boardwalk & butterfly garden.

During the winter months (Sept. - March) , the manatees come into the warm waters near the power plant. There is a great little museum with an outdoor viewing area!

located along the eastern edge of Tampa Bay, this area is a great place to view manatees (from above on a boardwalk) because the steam from the nearby power plant warms the water all year. And we all know manatees love warm water.
