This park is used by cyclists, equestrians, hikers and leashed pets because it offers anything these groups could desire, from open fields, canopied trails and gorgeous landscape. There is also a lake and trains that pass along the outer perimeter on one side. Early mornings often provide deer sightings and birds of prey.

This right up the road from us off of Buck Lake Rd! It's probably my favorite area to go for a run. There are wooded trails & open terrain for hikers, mountain bikers & equestrians, with horse trailer parking. When you pull in to the greenway, park on the right and follow that trail down until you come to the bridge that goes over the railroad tracks. It's about a 3.5 mile loop around Lake Lafayette (which you can canoe in as well)...and a good 3/4 of it is in the shade, if you feel like a run or walk. This is a relatively new area that you should definitely take advantage of!
