St. Joseph is a day-trip away or it may be on your way here if coming from Nebraska. The Pony Express began here and Jesse James ended here. There are 13 museums and 12 annual festivals. (2019) Check out the visitor's website for events and attractions.

Always a good place to start. There is a nice little park across the street and you are a short walk from Cafe Pony Expresso various dining experiences, and downtown shops. This is a nice stepping stone to downtown St. Joseph.
