Beautiful beach, do not miss low tide, check the tide charts, arrive at least 1 hour before lowest tide and go for a long walk on the sand bar. Parking lots will be busy on the weekend, try the residential area around Tolmie St. and walk down. 15 mins drive. Concession stands burgers, fish and chips

Visit the Beach Kitsilano beach is quite popular in the summertime, along with the giant saltwater Kits Pool and there’s no denying its appeal. Another favourite is Spanish Banks Beach. At low tide, you can walk out for hundreds of meters on the tidal flats which makes for fun exploring. There is a walking/biking path all along the beach as well so it’s also a nice place for walks in the spring and fall.

The Spanish Banks is a lovely Beach Area in Vancouver. It is something like a group of several beaches coupled together. Although they are in one long straight line they are divided into three or four parts and each part as a unique perspective to provide. Although you can just laze around and soak in the beach atmosphere here, it makes a lot of sense to also try out a few water-sports at the Spanish Bank Beach park. Kite-surfing, wake boarding and surfing are just some of the many unique ones on offer. Another interesting thing about the Spanish Banks is the spectacular view of the North Shore Mountains that it provides. It is a great place to picnic or play beach sports and a lovely place for families and people who just want to hang out.
