This is a moderate 8KM round way hike from Cypress mountain. Offers beautiful scenic views of Howe Sound, West Vancouver and Vancouver.

Stunning views are the reward for hikers who venture to the North Shore for the 8 km trail to get to the summit of Black Mountain. The hiking season goes from July to October. It is about a 40 minute drive from Burnaby, along hwy 1.

This is my favourite local hike. Always a winner! It takes about four hours in and out, and that includes a swim at Cabin Lake and a picnic on the Bluff.
