Black Canyon Trail is a 8.3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Cottonwood, Arizona that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round. Great views of cottonwood. Take 89 A South approximately 3 miles to Odgen Ranch Road. Turn right onto asphalt road. Follow road back , will become dirt, approximately 15 minutes until dead ends at trail head.

A great hiking trail that goes for an 8 mile climb up Mingus Mountain. Take it as far as you like! The views are spectacular and it’s never busy like the trails in Sedona.
