One of the most traditional Danish foods are smørrebrød, which are open-faced sandwiches. You will see small restaurants selling this for lunch everywhere. The quality varies a lot! This is one of the better in the modern category.

Restaurant Palægade is one of the newer places for smørrebrød and classic Danish dishes, but really good and with a great atmosphere!

Probably the best smørrebrød in town. Love everything about this restaurant. While their smørrebrød is basically a piece of heaven, the interior is just as heavenly. Expect furniture from Finn Juhl and generally just a very beautiful setting.
