The National Gallery of Ireland holds the national collection of European and Irish fine art, including works by Caravaggio, Claude Monet, Vermeer, Turner, Picasso and Jack B Yeats. Admission is free to the permanent collections. The historic wings have recently been refurbished and reopened to the public. It boasts some 2,500 paintings and approximately 10,000 other works in different media including water-colours, drawings, prints and sculpture.

Holds the national collection of European& Irish fine art. The permanent collection is free to view. The newer millenium wing is a great place to escape the city rush. Good cafe and giftshop within.

houses an extensive art collection in a building that recently re-opened after a 27 million euro refurbishment programme makes it a lovely environment to enjoy the beautiful art works that adorn its walls .... mostly FREE

The National Gallery of Ireland (Irish: Gailearaí Náisiúnta na hÉireann) houses the national collection of Irish and European art. It is located in the centre of Dublin with one entrance on Merrion Square, beside Leinster House, and another on Clare Street. It was founded in 1854 and opened its doors ten years later. The Gallery has an extensive, representative collection of Irish paintings and is also notable for its Italian Baroque and Dutch masters painting.
