I use Car Next Door to make local trips at around $7 per hour. It's a community car sharing scheme and there's usually a car free in the neighbourhood within 0.5-1k. If you are not a member, sign up takes a few minutes and your account is active in 3 business hours, as long as you have a licence..etc

You can use a rental car service called Car Next Door. People rent out their personal vehicles for a very reasonable rate. Can be a little as $6 / hour to $30 a day.
