A short trip of about 1/2 hour will bring you to the lovely town of Zarcero. The elevation of 1,750 mtrs. gives this canton a refreshing air with views of the Central highlands throughout. The jewel of Zarcero is its Central Park. Bordering the front of the beautifully crafted church is a topiary garden, maintained by one man for the past over-40 years. With tunnels, animals, and seasonal scenes sculpted into the evergreens, this is a photo opportunity not to be missed.
