One of my favorite taverns if you are on the southern side of Rethymno. About 40 minutes away by car.

At Merastri you will find Genuine Cretan Cuisine , spectacular views of the Plakias Gulf and impecabble and friendly serving. The young family who runs the restaurant only use fresh and local ingredients mostly coming from their own garden. Not to be missed
