Built in the late 1820s by John Houstoun McIntosh they are a significant example of tabby architecture and represent an industrial component of southeastern plantation agriculture. The historic site was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 2, 1992.

County park with the historic ruins of a 19th-century sugar mill, plus a shaded picnic area. Very quick trip but interesting to see.
