The forest was named for the legendary pioneer, contains more than 160,000 acres of East Texas woodlands, streams, recreation areas, and wildlife habitat. About a 45 minute drive from Nacogdoches, you'll find this trail covered in pines. If East Texas pines is your thing, this is the place to be! Great for camping and walking through nature.
