North-South Lake is a great spot for swimming, fishing, and kayaking in the summer. There are a number of hiking trailheads nearby too.

A 40 minute drive from the lodge, but well worth it for the whole family. We love the ground to swim, boat, or fish. Beautiful lake with lots of natural beauty. Picnic and camping area, with little beach for kids and boat rentals.

North-South Lake is a public day-use area with fun for everyone. Two swimming beaches with bath houses, grills, and lovely views; canoe, kayak, and paddleboard rentals; fishing; and trails galore, including the famed Escarpment Trail and a trail to the site of the historic Catskill Mountain House. Note there's a $10 fee for vehicle entry.
