This is a childhood favorite of mine! Bring a picnic, or stop at the local honor system pie stand you will pass before you get there. If you don’t like it I don’t understand you. :) Granite water slides, picnic rocks, a beautiful drive. Right in the middle of God’s country!

Screw Auger Falls is a 23 foot tall waterfall along a rugged stretch of the Bear River. The river has carved out a gorge with many great swimming holes along it. This is a popular place for families to picnic and swim.

Screw Auger Falls is a hiking area with waterfalls. It's an easy place to walk around with kids and see some beautiful sights.

#1 thing to do in Newry, ME according to trip advisor. I can attest that it is worth seeing and super easy to access.
