Just one part of some of the best-preserved Roman Remains in UK. Fabulous amphitheatre (openair) is a wonderful & safe place for children to run about and use their imagination. The original Camelot?
It's preserved a lot of Roman History in Britain and has many passionate volunteers sharing their knowledge of this heritage. There's normally one dressed up in ancient Roman military gear who enjoys answering all your questions. Open 10am–5pm Monday–Saturday, 2pm–5pm Sunday. Free admission.
The National Roman Legion Museum is a museum in Caerleon, near Newport, south-east Wales. It is part of the wider network of Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales. Caerleon is really close but is a fascinating little place to visit - full of history and great places to explore.
