Crazy Coasteering in Croyde
On arrival I will introduce myself and any other Instructors and run through a disclaimer, and then size you up for the kit. Once all suited in warm wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets, I will run through a though briefing on what to expect with a few helpful tips on how to safely move around the rocks, teaching you the best techniques to get from the water to the rocks safely avoiding pesky barnacles, I will also run through the best technique for jumping into the sea safely. Once all your kit has been checked we will swim, scramble, jump (in various ways) and explore our way around parts of the coastline that you can only access through coasteering. With my years of experience, knowledge and understanding of the tidal movement and working in this amazing environment for many years I can take you to places less explored . Using the natural features like a playground, I will put together a route that will suit your abilities, and take in to account the conditions on the day, so you get the best from the experience. If you come across any obstacle or feature that you may struggle with there is always another way. Adventure awaits. Other things to note Some fitness is required as we will be very active & we ask that you can swim 25m without stopping. Coasteering has a risk of cuts to the hands due to the rocks & the unpredictability of the sea.

Throw A Pot In Cornwall
Your experience will be fun and informal yet informative and productive. You're definitely going to throw your own individual pot! We start by familiarising ourselves with the studio, the equipment and tools we will use during your experience. Then it's straight onto the wheel where you learn to centre the clay, and throw a pot. Once we have your pot formed we'll clean it up a bit and lift your creation from the wheel to dry. Then we'll do it again. Why not try another shape? You can throw as many pots as time allows. For an extra payment at the end of your experience you get to choose your favourite piece and when it's bone dry aprox 3 weeks I'll fire it for you in the kiln for 2 days then sand it down, glaze it to be fired again to be packed off to your home (Postage & Packing is included in the small additional cost.) Other things to note please check the reviews
Sheepdog & shepherding experience walks
I take groups of up to 10 people on the Tuesday evening Shepherding Walks. I'll meeting you in the car park in Mortehoe. We'll walk a short way to the sheep pens, where I'll show you something of the training of a young sheepdog and talk about what it takes to farm in this challenging environment. Then we'll walk for a couple of miles at a leisurely pace around the Morte Point peninsular, on some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the South West of England. The Point is owned by the National Trust, and as the tenant farmer, I graze my sheep across the 200 acres amongst the rocks and cleaves, the bracken and heather and to the cliff edge, I couldn't do it without my amazing team of sheepdogs. This year Glen and Mirk will be my top sheepdogs, and on my Shepherding walks you'll see him working far into the distance controlled by my whistle, balanced by his own skills and instinct. A really top sheepdog makes decisions of its own, and often knows far more than I do about working the sheep, and will spot problems unseen by the shepherd. If the weather permits and the tide is right, we'll see the local seals on the way home. On summers evenings they bask on the rocks, with a haunting call that echos around on still summers evening, We usually take a little over 2 hours for the walk. I hope that it will be an experience that will live long in the memory
