We leave Bakers Street tube taking the path of the Tyburn subterranean river winding down Marylebone High street and through the streets of Marylebone. Unlike other tours my focus is on the stories of the women who lived here. From the gentrified ladies whose eccentricity paved the way for those who followed to the call girls who brought a government down. We stop midway at a cafe which has been there since 1901 and enjoy the quirkiness of the ambiance for 20 mins before continuing. Walking for 2hrs 30 to 3hrs we finish at Marble Arch and with Oxford Street lights for Christmas it is a beautiful finish to a fascinating area.
