Create pottery with an Atlanta artist
We require hand washing upon entry, and require masks if you are in a vulnerable risk group. We'll introduce ourselves and we will give you a tour of our professional studio and kiln area to have an insider's view of how pottery is made and tour our gallery. Your instructor is an Atlanta ceramic artist, our studio is an incubator for those launching careers as artists selling their work. We'll have a short demonstration then an artist will guide you to make pots of your own. You will make 2-3 pots over the course of the next hour+ then you will get to select your own glaze colors for us to finish and fire your work. Unlike other experiences - there are no extra fees for extra pots! Great for groups or couples. Since pottery takes several weeks to dry, then proceeds with two firings - pottery that you make during your event will be ready in about 6 weeks. Local pick-up is free. We can give an estimate for US shipping rates while you are here, international deliveries will require more exacting details for shipping rates and will require a follow-up email and/or invoice. Average US shipping is between $15 and $20. Your instructor will be in touch when your pottery is complete. This experience is kid-friendly for ages 8+ but we do ask that you are booking in the morning slot if you have kids. No bookings will be accepted for kids with no adults present. Thank you!

Experience the Pottery Wheel
We are excited to offer visitors an experience to get their hands in clay and work on a potters wheel. This hands-on pottery experience will introduce beginners to the magic of throwing clay on a potters wheel in a small intimate setting. Your teacher will patiently guide you along the way. NOTE: From start to finish the process for making a pot takes several days given the need to throw, dry, trim, bisque, glaze, and fire. It's because of the long process of completing a pot that WE ARE NOT ABLE TO OFFER PARTICIPANTS THE OPTION OF TAKING THEIR POTS HOME after just a couple hours in the studio. There will not be a finished pot to take home, pickup later or have shipped to you. You will have a great time experiencing what it’s like throwing clay on the potters wheel! Upon arrival we'll do a tour of the studio and explain the process of making a pot from beginning to end. You will see our wood kiln, and we'll explain how we fire. After the tour, we will roll up our sleeves and put on our aprons. You will be taught basic throwing skills through demonstrations on the potters wheel with step-by-step instructions. After a demonstration, guests will have the opportunity to try the potters wheel on their own and will be guided with techniques along the way. Aprons are supplied. Please wear comfortable clothing you won’t mind getting clay on and have long hair tied back.

In the riding ring, you will have the opportunity to mount your horse and learn how to steer and control your horse and become comfortable before embarking on the trail ride. Once you are comfortable, you will be guided on a private tour of our 52 acre estate where you will go through woods, open fields, across ridge lines and enjoy being on a horse with breathtaking mountain views. On the ride we will also snap a few complimentary pictures for you to share with friends and family or add to your social media.
