Our apartment is in one of the first loft conversion buildings in Cape Town. So it's not an attempt at trying to create the loft feeling. It actually was an industrial building that was converted to a loft. We have subsequently renovated the apartment and taken it to a very high level. The apartment building 'Westside Studios" is very safe and secure and has 24-hour security at the front desk! Solid wooden flooring softens the feeling of the apartment making it very cosy. The kitchen is brand new and has all the items you would expect in a well-equipped kitchen. Granite counter tops with bar stools makes the kitchen counter a very convenient work space. Appliances include a brand new Bosch fridge / freezer combo, microwave, dishwasher, oven & hob, washing machine & tumble dryer. The bathroom is new, modern and fairly compact with a shower. We have installed a freestanding bath on the mezzanine level for a different touch. Downstairs is all open plan living and you can see paragliders on Signal Hill and the sky changing colour at sunset. There is a flat screen TV with satellite TV, Netflix and a small selection of DVD's. There is a very comfortable queen-sized bed on the mezzanine level. By far one of the best beds we have ever purchased. The apartment has air-conditioning and heating. There is a secure parking bay in the building with 24-hour security at the front desk. There is a 24-hour convenience store downstairs, which has most of the items you will need for a short stay.
