Things to do

#1 best water park in the world according to Tripadvisor. The atmosphere is wonderful throughout the park. It's great fun, but be aware that in the summer season it gets very crowded and queues can be up to 2hours per one slide. Consider to pay 15€ extra, and you'll get one fast pass for each slide except the Tower. The second option is to buy Golden Ticket, which allows you to skip the line all the time. In winter season though, you can rent neoprene and enjoy the park to the fullest. More info at siampark.net

Cozy little park where you can interact and feed animals such as iguana's, guinea pigs, turtles, lemurs and monkeys, it's great for all ages! And you'll see birds too! The ticket is 10€ and you can buy fresh veggies for small fee. It is about 5-10mins by a taxi or car from our property.

Playa de Las Teresitas is 1.300m long, artificial, white sand beach located in San Andrés, 10 minute drive from a capital city Santa Cruz de Tenerife. We absolutely love this beach as there are no hotels, you have to reach it by a car, so you never feel like it's overcrowded. And it is just beautiful. Mind, that out of summer season the weather in the north part of the island is not that stable as we can enjoy in the south. Always check the forecast.

I can recommend this catamaran by my own experience. We did numerous birthday parties with these professionals. It is a very well equipped catamaran with full service, including food, drinks and spirits. They do 3hours long whale and dolphin tours, where you can see these beautiful animals in their own natural habitat. My good friend works for the company, so I can sort you out tickets if you'd like to experience this tour.

Sightseeing

There is no visit worth Tenerife without going through the Teide National Park and to see the highest point in Spain. Declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 2007. It is truly an amazing experience to see this wonder of nature by standing in extraordinary places enjoying the views and taking beautiful photographs. Thousands of years have been needed for the formation of the largest peak in Spain and the third highest volcano in the world in the Atlantic Ocean, there is none that exceeds it in proportion.

Tenerife's most beautiful village! Masca is a village set in the Teno Mountains on the western side of Tenerife. Its location is stunning and because it is quite difficult to get to on a road full of tight hairpin bends it has been relatively undiscovered until recent years. Indeed there wasn't a road at all before 1991 and led to Masca being known as the 'forgotten village'. Its houses appear to cling onto the edge of the rocky mountainside on which it is built. As well as the deep ravines and dramatic views the surrounding vegetation is lush and adds to the beauty of the site. Be prepared that the road to the village might be challenging if you are not experienced driver.

If you find yourself travelling to El Teide, this unique tree is a lovely stop on the way to stretch your legs and admire the tree awesomeness. This enormous pine could survive in Tenerife's climate just because of weather phenomenon called la bruma, which is fast moving mist from which the trees learned to absorb the moisture. There is a "face" in the tree which is completely natural and looks like the soul of the tree. It is located just above the village of Vilaflor with an altitude of 1.400 m, is the highest village of Tenerife.

Los Gigantes is a popular travel resort next to the spectacular cliffs known as the Acantilados de Los Gigantes and these cliffs are a phenomenal rock wall that plunges sheer into the sea. It is located on the west coast of Tenerife. Los Gigantes means "The Giants" as the cliffs rise from the ocean to a height of 500-800 metres. The town has a marina surrounded by concrete walls to dampen the effect of the rough seas around the area. A small black sand beach lies between the rocks and the marina. The marina has a boulevard with many restaurants.

City/town information

San Cristóbal de La Laguna, often called just La Laguna is a city in the northern part of the island. La Laguna's historical center was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. This beautiful city was once the ancient capital of the Canary Islands. Its grid plan was designed in the 15th century and became a model for cities in the Americas including Cartagena de Indias in Colombia and Old Havana in Cuba. The highlight of La Laguna is its old town which is a real step back in time and full elegant buildings from the 15-17th centuries. The town has a particularly high concentration of churches and religious buildings as well as fine palaces. The center of the city is often called "The Real Tenerife", you can access it only by foot and it is terrific. Full of tidy cafés, restaurant and shops.

This little vibrant town will satisfy anyone with free spirit. It still has its own character connected with various water sports and local culture. You can find lots of small boutiques with handmade products from Tenerife, little bars and seafood restaurants. In the center you can find a local city beach but if you're looking for something more natural - to left and right, you'll find long natural beaches connected with volcano stones and sand. And of course, el Médano due to it's windy conditions, it's a absolute heaven for kitesurfers and windsurfers.
